Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is an entirely new program that contains many of the same features of the Photoshop CS series but is much more intuitive to use. It’s a Lightroom 3 compatible plug-in, meaning that it works in Photoshop CS4 and earlier.
Although the most obvious alteration made with Photoshop is altering color, you can also perform more complex and intricate edits to images than just altering colors. For example, you can unify colors, remove backgrounds, modify colors and curves, change the color of pixels, and so on.
In this chapter, we explain the fundamentals of how to work with layers and masks, and we introduce the tools Photoshop has to offer you to complete different tasks in image creation and editing. You can find plenty of help getting started as well.
Setting Up a Photoshop Project
To work with Photoshop, you must start a project. Whether you have a new or existing image file, you must load it into Photoshop. (For information on the process of how to open and get an image into Photoshop, see Chapter 1.)
The process of setting up a new project consists of several steps:
1. Open the File menu and choose New from the submenu.
2. Select Photoshop project from the format drop-down list.
You see the Save dialog box shown in Figure 6-1.
**Figure 6-1:** Don’t forget to save your work!
3. Select a file format for the new file or select your default format.
4. Enter a filename for the new file.
Although you can save your work as an.psd file, the most common format is.psd because it means Adobe Photoshop Document.
Figure 6-2 shows the Save As dialog box in Photoshop CS6, with the filename already set.

Loading an Existing Image
If you have an image file already saved, you can load it into Photoshop without starting a new project. You must use the Load dialog box. This is a bit of an unusual dialog box, as it consists of many sections that show you where the image is located, what type of file it is, how many layers it has, and what settings you’ve chosen for that file (or images).
After you select the file you want to load, you can either drag the file to the top of the dialog box or use the Load

Must all data transaction be immediately written to disk?
I was learning about transactions in database programming and I encountered some confusion regarding how it works.
I read this
The concept is that you create a transaction at the start of an operation,
including a read (i.e. load or retrieve) statement. When this is
complete, the transaction is committed. If an error occurs within
the transaction, the whole operation is rolled back and the changes to
the data in the database are not recorded.
So, I understand that most DBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) support various types of transaction and only the read (or select) statement gets committed immediately after the end of transaction.
What I don’t understand is why there are no read (or load) statements during transaction. Isn’t it necessary to go back to the beginning of the transaction (after the read(or load) statements) to rollback the transaction with the read (or load) statements? And hence all the data must be written to disk immediately?
Update (after thinking about the answer):
With one exception: when a select statement (read) gets committed, the rows are written to disk in some way. That is, the SELECT statement was not rolled back in rollback of a transaction.
But in the case of a transaction on a table, I suppose the select statements are in the form of UPDATE or INSERT and they are not rolled back.
So, why does it say “The transaction is committed when the last write is complete”?
Databases maintain dirty data in memory. Storing a record in a table must include reading that record and updating it into the dirty data. If a read fails, the dirty data is still kept in memory and can be abandoned.
When a commit is requested on a transaction, the dirty data is copied from memory into the database, so that all the changes within a transaction are eventually captured to a point-in-time consistent database state.

VueJS – how to pass value in v-model of a table
I want to submit data from a table with checkboxes by pressing button.
How do I need to send the value from input checkboxes (for example I tried to send all the value without success) and what is the best way to send the value of each checkbox in different row to the next table?
If you send a form via ajax or something similar, you can have parent_id as the value of the hidden input, which can be obtained from the all_parents component array like this:
